Our Fertile Wishes For You On Mother's Day

Holidays | Support

Mother's Day & InfertilityToday, Mother's Day,  was the hardest day of the year for me while I was in fertility treatment.

I felt surrounded by the images of babies, held lovingly by their mommy's. There seemed to be no place to escape the reminders of what I didn't have– my family. I tried lots of different things. Hiding was big for me and it worked fairly well too.

Here are my thoughts for you on a day that you may also find heart wrenching.

As always, you are not alone.

We are right here with you. – Lisa and Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT)

My wishes for you for Mother’s Day while you are still waiting for your baby

I wish

That you treat yourself in a loving way

That you find peaceful and sweet moments

That you find something for yourself during the day that makes you feel special

That you celebrate what is present right now and allow what is yet to come to be in your future

That if you can be with your own mother, you hug her and tell her that you love her

My hopes for you for Mother’s Day

I hope

That the day holds moments of deep pleasure

That someone does something thoughtful for you

That you find something that you feel truly grateful for

That you do something that releases a disappointment or frustration

That you do something that is creative

My dreams for you for Mother’s Day

I dream

That all obstacles are removed to becoming a mother

That this is the year that your babies come to you

That next year mother’s day is celebrated with your baby in your arms
