Freedom from Infertility! Enjoy Your Fourth of July Weekend

fourth-of-july-plansIt’s Friday. And it’s July 4th weekend. Weekend of freedom and liberation.

So how about a weekend free of infertility?

What do you think about putting it aside and enjoying what there is in your life?

Take a radical departure from what you planned on doing this weekend.

Planning on going to parties? Seeing friends and families? Oohing and aahing over other peoples babies? Cancel! But you have to go? No, you don't! Cancel. Radical departure.

Given that parties and babies and other peoples families and questions may feel like torture or something you have to endure, consider something different for yourself.

Here’s my perfect weekend of freedom and liberation. I’m kind of easy and I do love my time to myself. I don’t need something luxurious or extravagant. Here’s what I want for my holiday weekend.

Fourth of July Weekend Plans – Do Nothing At All

One day of doing nothing at all. Yep, the lazy song, http://youtu.be/fLexgOxsZu0,  by Bruno Mars. (If you are offended by kind of icky language and visuals, DO NOT click on this link. It's not awful, just a little dicey.)

My favorite line?

“Today, I don’t want to do anything. I just want to lay in my bed”

So my variation is a chaise lounge outside or better yet, a hammock.

A pile of books and magazines.

A pitcher of cool water.

No phone.

No computer.

No visitors.

No schedule.

Nothing at all.

What's Your Weekend of "No Infertility" Like?

What’s your day of freedom and liberation? Your day of no infertility? As if it didn’t even exist?

What if you really did take a day off?

Now, how to do that if you are in the middle of a cycle and need to take medications or come in for an ultrasound?

Watch fireworks, they can take your mind off of anything and indulge your senses of beauty and wonder.

Enjoy your weekend, whatever your definition of freedom looks like this year. You really can make many choices for yourself and what you would like.

Huge call out to say thanks to our armed troops who are out there. Regardless of my position on any war or armed conflict, our troops deserve our love, respect and support. Thank you!
