I have a friend who always says, "January, February, MARCH!" when she's ready to transition from whatever she's doing onto the next thing. It's funny because the people around her always obey the command! For instance, a group of our friends will be lingering in a parking lot after dinner, having already said our good-byes once (as you do with your friends), and we hear "January, February, MARCH!" We all immediately hug and kiss goodbye (again). We wrap things up and move along.
It's not really all that ironic that March is the month for getting things done and moving on either.
It makes sense if you think about it... January and February are cold, full of new ideas that take getting used to, and generally, tend to drag. March is finally the time where warmth peeks through, we get the hang of the new habits we initiated at the new year, and the days pick up their pace. We finally get out of our winter funk and march forward.
In the spirit of setting things in motion, March is a big month for us at RMA of Connecticut and the rest of our infertility community. Check it out:
So, yeah. We are marching this March. We are transitioning into a season where our ideas are becoming actions and our thoughts are being voiced.
What are the ways you can wake up your season-of-action? What plan are you setting into motion? How will it make you more productive and get you to where you want to be?
So, now, I'm going to try and channel my friend and her commanding energy...
January, February, MARCH!

π£οΈ The Hand-Wash Song π£οΈ
What has been your cleansing tune of choice?
The first rule of staying healthy: Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds (or two "Happy Birthday" sing-throughs).
Running out of people to sing Happy Birthday to? Here are some of my favorite songs to hum (with the lyrics to get you started) to take up that 20-second timeframe:
Party in the U.S.A. chorus one time through ("So I put my hands up...")
No Scrubs chorus one time through ("No... I don't want no scrub. A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me...")
Scary Spice's rap in Wannabe ("Sooo here's the story from a to z, you wanna get wit me, you gotta listen carefully...")
Sing "Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy, diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie" 4 times in a row. (Didn't see that one comin', did ya?)
Happy washing!
What's the Covid-19 Update?
You can't escape the news and conversations around Coronavirus or Covid-19. Let's take a deep breath and get to know the facts:
Hand-washing and not touching your face is the best mode of protection.
It is spread through respiratory droplets, so close contact (6 feet) is necessary for spread.
If you are feeling sick (fever, coughing, body aches), contact your doctor, and wear a mask if you must leave your house.
Stock up on a 2-week supply in case you need to remain at home. Think: bathroom tissue, canned goods, medications, etc.
There's only one place to receive the most up to date information on the virus:that's the CDC website.
If you are concerned about coming into our office for you appointment or have any questions, feel free to give us a call!
I know there's a lot of chaos going on out there in the world right now, but remember that we are laser-focused on you, our Core Community. In fact, our goals and priorities have only reasserted themselves - keep you taken care of, safe, and heard.
Remember that you can respond to this email and ask me anything! I'm a real person on the other end and will always write you back. There is no reason for you to stress, worry, or wonder alone. I'm here for you.
Now is the time to put your ideas into action. To take the energy you've been saving through January and February and apply it to something real. March is your chance to fire up your engines and be productive. And hey, if that energy is applied to vigorous hand washing, we will all be grateful.
Sincerely,
Virginia

P.S. Oh! I thought of another sing-along/dance-along song perfect for 20 seconds of hand-washing: I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston. Sing the chorus two times through. ("Ohhhh, I wanna dance with somebody. I wanna feel the *heat* with somebody...")
