After 3 IUIs, an IVF cycle, and an embryo transfer, our beloved Virginia had her RMA of CT baby girl on 5/5 aka Cinco De Mayo. I'm sure we can all celebrate to that with some ๐ฎ's and a ๐น(for those not currently TTC).
Welcome Elodie Michael Furnari!
Born at 1:11pm weighing 6lbs 11oz, 19 inches long. Virginia and her baby girl are both healthy and doing great! (and how good goes Virginia look after giving birth?!)
๐ Hi, Nice to Meet Ya! ๐
Ok, back to who I am. Again, my name is Dina. I will be taking over The Core Newsletter ๐ for the time being (at least while Virginia is on maternity leave). So let's get to know each other!
Here are some things you should know about me:
I am the Social Media Specialist at RMA of CT
RMA of CT was my first job after graduating from college
I worked full time while going to school to get my MBA, which I received in May of 2019
How did I get a job in the fertility world? Fun fact: My mom is a Physician Assistant here. So I knew about eggs & sperm since I was a little babyyy (we had lots of magnets hanging on our fridge, LOL).
So what makes me credible to write this newsletter? Although I'm not trying to conceive, I've been working at RMA for 3 years now! I have learned a lot about the fertility world, so I hope you can put your trust in me for these next fews months!
And if your practice hasn't opened back up yet, we are here for you, and our Nurse Practitioner, Monica Moore, offered a few ways to cope using breathwork during this time.๐

These are the issues that advocates will be discussing with the legislators:
Access to Infertility Treatment & Care Act
Woman Veterans and Families Health Services Act of 2019
Every Child Deserves a Family Act
Tax Credit Refundability Act of 2019
PCOS Awareness Month Resolution
Medical Research Funding More specifics can be found in this collaborative video with RESOLVE and ASRM
For those who have had success, we wish you a Happy Mother's Day. Infertility doesn't just go away, so we are happy that you are still a part of our Core Community, because you get it.
For the rest of you, Mother's Day can be a difficult day. You've been TTC for months, years, or maybe this pandemic put your baby dreams on hold. Now more than ever it's important to continue to stick to a plan, even if it's adjusted this time around.
Let's let Virginia's infertility journey help drive us through this day. Happy Mother's Day, Virginia, thanks for giving our Core Community๐ hope this weekend.
Sincerely,
Dina D'Amelio๐Social Media Specialist
