ABOUT Ladies Night Support Group 7/27-Danbury & 7/28-Norwalk

Lisa Rosenthal

by Lisa Rosenthal

Ladies Night Fertility Support CTThis Wednesday, July 27th in Danbury and Thursday, July 28th in Norwalk we are hosting a Ladies Night Support Group @ 6pm.

Most of you are familiar with our group and most are not.  For those of you who are not please let me give you a brief intro............... Ladies Night started a few years ago with myself and my amazing co-worker Lisa Rosenthal (she also happens to be our amazing Yoga Instructor as well).

Lisa and I both braved the infertility rollercoaster many years ago and survived it mainly due to the support of other women who were also on the ride with us. We decided to bring the experience of the “Peer Support “ to RMACT and have never looked back!

Our patients have found it extremely helpful and enjoy the time they have alone in this “safe environment” to unload all the frustrations this roller coaster can bring. Whether you are just getting your toes wet in IUI or about to embark on IVF, you will be AMAZED at how many other ladies are walking right beside you.

This group is free of charge and we serve dinner so I certainly hope you can make it. Call me or email me if you want to know a bit more. 203.731.2520 ext. 289 or cvansteen@rmact.com

Understanding Mind-Body Connection for Better Health & Fertility Seminars: Feb 3,10,17 & Mar 3

Robin Mangieri

by Robin Mangieri

Mind-Body Connection for Better HealthWorkshops for Women, Men and Couples

Thursday evenings February 3rd, 10th, 17th* & March 3rd 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Facilitated by Lisa W. Tuttle, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist

It is well known that the mind and body are intricately connected, and that stress dramatically affects physical well-being, including fertility. Infertility is one of the most stressful experiences that many individuals will ever face. It can be life changing to learn about the mind-body connection and the ways of coping with the many layers of stress that is caused by infertility, as well as the stress we all find in our everyday lives.

Each of the 4 workshops teach the basics of mind-body theories, providing you with first-hand experience of several stress-reducing techniques, as well as providing a compassionate, supportive environment in which to develop new ways of coping with infertility. You will gain insight to the habits and coping mechanisms that you are currently relying on that may be exacerbating your stress, find new, healthier coping strategies and develop new friendships with other men and women who are truly able to understand the unique stress of infertility.

*Feb 17th Join us for a discussion on how mindful eating can help us engage in the present moment, while finding peace, happiness and stress reduction.  Let by Carolyn Gundell, RMACT Nutritionist.

These workshops are designed to enhance and work with any medical treatments offered at RMACT.

All sessions will take place at RMA of Connecticut’s Norwalk office:

10 Glover Avenue, Norwalk, CT, rear entrance

For further information about this workshop, please speak with Dr. Tuttle at (203) 852-9099, or your RMACT physician or nurse. There is no charge for this workshop for RMACT patients.
