Nest Egg Foundation CT Fertility Grants for 2017
1 in 8 couples will find infertility is part of their future or is experiencing it as their present day reality. The medical & scientific advances in embryo screening, fertility treatment protocols like IUI, IVF, ICSI have all come so far that pregnancy rates at excellent fertility programs are soaring—upwards of 70% success rates.
There's one main reason fertility treatment is unsuccessful.
A few hints about why fertility treatment doesn't work. It's not because there aren't medical options, often including IVF, donor eggs or sperm, or a gestational carrier. And it's not that science has failed, given the ability to effectively and safely screen embryos with PGS. It's not even the that there's no hope that the next fertility treatment cycle will work.
The main reason fertility treatment is unsuccessful is that people who need the help of board certified reproductive endocrinologists end up leaving treatment. And the main, overarching reason they leave is that they have exhausted all their financial resources for fertility treatment.
They've begged, borrowed, charged. They've used up any infertility insurance coverage they had long ago. They are tapped out.
And all they need is to be able to undergo the family building treatment that will likely work, should they be able to afford it.
There is only one word to describe that.
Family building should not have to depend on finances. Whether funds are tight, you have exhausted all other avenues of paying for fertility treatment, or insurance benefits are tapped out, we don't want that to be the reason that you can't have a family.
We found a way to help. Three words.
Nest Egg Foundation. If you are experiencing primary infertility and finances are the reason that you are struggling to pursue your dream of building a family, we invite you to apply for a Nest Egg Foundation grant.
Last year, four grants were awarded, and this year we are celebrating three pregnancies and championing one person who is in there trying. All thanks to the money that was raised and then distributed to help build families. The grant window will open up on June 26, 2017. If you or someone you know is struggling with finances related to covering fertility treatments, we invite you to apply. Learn more here.
One way we're raising funds this year is through the Birdies for Charity program. In addition to your personal donation, Nest Egg Foundation receives another 15 percent of each dollar we raise, thanks to the Bonus Bucks Pool sponsored by CohnReznick. Donate today by clicking this link.
