All events listed for this week are free and open to the public. You do not need to be a RMACT patient, we want these services to be available to anyone who needs them.

Fertility Nutrition Seminar
RMACT is pleased to offer a program tonight, June 7, with Laura Wolfe, RDN, CDE, RMACT Nutritionist, and Ellie Downs, BSN, RN on “What Can I Eat?” You may have heard that high blood sugar affects fertility treatment and ultimately pregnancy. At RMACT we believe that a holistic approach is the best approach. By empowering you with fertility nutrition information and simple lifestyle changes, we can help you take control of your health and approach your fertility and pregnancy feeling prepared. In addition, find out how stress impacts your blood sugar and learn stress reduction techniques that are easy to utilize in your everyday life that will improve both your mental and physical health.

Infertility Support – Ladies Night In
Tomorrow night, June 8, Wednesday, in Trumbull, we have Ladies Night In (LNI). If you happen to be a regular to LNI but have never been to Trumbull, maybe this is the month you attend two. If you’re really up to it, there are three each month- make it a triple crown. Here are the details: This peer support group is free of charge and open to the public. It is facilitated by Lisa Rosenthal & Carrie Van Steen, both former fertility patients, and fosters support, conversation and comradery amongst many infertility patients. Trumbull RMACT office: 115 Technology Drive, Suite C 200, Trumbull, CT 0661. Our group meets from 6:45-8 and includes dinner.
Exploring Emotional Aspects of Using an Egg or Sperm Donor
On June 9, Thursday, in our Danbury, CT office, RMACT Mind Body Specialist, Melissa Kelleher, LCSW, will lead a support group in Danbury for anyone who is thinking about using an egg donor or sperm donor at is at any stage of their decision making.
Please join other women who are facing similar choices for guidance and support in confidential setting. This group is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, Fertile Yoga will meet in Trumbull, Norwalk and Bethel, respectively. In Trumbull, Wednesday nights, from 5:45-6:45, Norwalk on Thursdays from 5:45-6:45 and in Bethel at Yogaspace from 6-7.
Class description: Yoga, meditation and deep relaxation can help men and women experiencing the challenges of infertility. Fertile Yoga helps couples relax and relaxation can help one make more satisfying decisions, communicate more clearly with their doctor, and sustain treatment with a more positive perspective. What you need: Comfortable clothing, a yoga mat, and bottle of water.
Whether you have ever practiced yoga or not, this class is right for you. A gentle, restorative style that relies on guided meditation and relaxation.
Third Party Reproduction Support Group
Once a month, on Friday mornings, RMACT’s Director of Mental Health, Lisa Schuman, LCSW, leads a Third Party Reproduction Support Group. Her group welcomes patients in all stages of their family building process – from thinking about moving forward using an egg and/or sperm donor to choosing a donor to beginning your cycle and finally, to parenting. About Lisa Rosenthal
Lisa has over thirty years of experience in the fertility field. After her personal infertility journey, she felt dissatisfied with the lack of comprehensive services available to support her. She was determined to help others undergoing fertility treatment. Lisa has been with RMACT for eleven years and serves as Patient Advocate and the Strategic Content Lead.
Lisa is the teacher and founder of Fertile Yoga, a program designed to support men and women on their quest for their families through gentle movement and meditation.
Lisa’s true passion is supporting patients getting into treatment, being able to stay in treatment and staying whole and complete throughout the process. Lisa is also a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, which is helpful in her work with fertility patients.
Her experience also includes working with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and The American Fertility Association (now Path2Parenthood), where she was Educational Coordinator, Conference Director and Assistant Executive Director.
