Fertility Nutritionist Carolyn Gundell Speaks Out
Fertility nutritionist Carolyn Gundell is a passionate person. Especially when it comes to nutrition and fertility. She has been in the field of food and infertility for well over a decade and has research and data on her side. If you are struggling with becoming pregnant, you want her on your side. She offers her expertise on what you need to know about fertility and food.

Food and Fertility
What to eat, what not to eat, when to eat, how much to eat? Are these questions that you ask yourself, at least in reference to becoming pregnant? Do any of them matter when it comes to fertility, healthy pregnancy and a healthy child? Does the idea of yet another major lifestyle adjustment make your head spin? The research is clear. It does matter. It matters a lot.
I believe that eating should be fun, adventurous, delicious and never restrictive, even if an individual is trying to lose weight. Changes don’t have to mean restrictions, although different choices may be necessary. For some of us it can be a challenge to food shop, prepare meals, and screen food labels for misleading information. All that can be time consuming and even exhausting, BUT it does not have to be overwhelming. Well-balanced eating supports both male and female fertility so if you are in a relationship, this is something you would do together.
This is not the time for fad diets and supplements that promise fat burning and rapid weight loss. This is the time for well balanced, well designed, planned food preparation and eating.
We are here to help in a real, practical way.
We are offering 2 Saturday programs for patients and their partners, together, to attend. (You are welcome to attend without a partner as well.) In a workshop atmosphere, learn practical and nutritious fertile-friendly meal planning tips. You will also have a chance to review the benefits of mindful eating practices.

About Lisa Rosenthal
Lisa has over thirty years of experience in the fertility field. After her personal infertility journey, she felt dissatisfied with the lack of comprehensive services available to support her. She was determined to help others undergoing fertility treatment. Lisa has been with RMACT for eleven years and serves as Patient Advocate and the Strategic Content Lead.
Lisa is the teacher and founder of Fertile Yoga, a program designed to support men and women on their quest for their families through gentle movement and meditation.
Lisa’s true passion is supporting patients getting into treatment, being able to stay in treatment and staying whole and complete throughout the process. Lisa is also a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, which is helpful in her work with fertility patients.
Her experience also includes working with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and The American Fertility Association (now Path2Parenthood), where she was Educational Coordinator, Conference Director and Assistant Executive Director.
