Fertility Medications Secret Handshake - Fertile Yoga Revelations

Fertile Yoga Revelations and Hilarity

Fertility Medications and Fertility InjectionsWe have the oddest conversations sometimes in Fertile Yoga. Very, very odd. And sometimes so funny that it's almost impossible to stop laughing.

For this one, you really need to visualize it.

Secret handshakes and fingers that shoot fireworks. Yes, from grown ups.

I have permission to share this one. I asked about sharing it here and she was fine with it. So cool with her own playfulness. I love that.

One of RMACT's patients and an ardent Fertile Yoga student gave me permission to share this so that you could enjoy and perhaps even try, on your own, in your own home.

I understand that there is often a special dance done as well as the handshake and firework hands but she was unwilling to share this with our group this evening. Or rather, she described it, but was unwilling to demonstrate it.

You cannot make this stuff up.

Infertility can make us crazy. Evidently it can also make us laugh. And make us hopeful. And make us silly. And playful. And connected. And more.

Fertility Medications: Secret Rituals

Secret handshakes after fertility medication injections. It involved slapping of hands, sometimes, a version of pattycakes, sometimes, and more. Fireworks, think of hands with fingers upright to the sky, with up and down and back and forth movements.

You cannot make this stuff up.

I have one question.

Why not?

Why not have fun? Why not be playful? Why not a ritual that has two partners acting as co-conspirators?

We were discussing rituals around doing medications and inviting the pregnancy to happen. Very scientific. Not.

I have another question.

So what?

Rituals are comforting. They are soothing to the soul. And evidently they can also be playful, joyous and fun.

What could possibly be wrong with that?

One of my best friends' husband always kissed her right where he was going to inject the medications. Yep. On her rear end, bringing a whole new meaning to the term, "kiss my a**". That made me laugh. It made a lot of us laugh. The fact that it was loving and tender was an added benefit.

One of my Fertile Yoga students visualized each injection bringing her baby closer to her and her husband. Also sweet, tender and very poignant. So much better than resenting the heck out of the injections and medications.

If I had it to do over again, I'd go with the silly handshake.

And the fireworks shooting out of my finger tips.

And the dance.

I might even add in a shimmy or two.

Because really?

Why not?
