Infertility Support: Weekend Recap and the Week Ahead
Wow. Quite the weekend.
I got to do Fertile Yoga in a circle on Friday night. All those women with their heads and hearts put together. Yeah, it doesn't get much better than that.
Saturday. Listening to the eloquent Patty Lennon speaking at the Dreams, Angels and Miracles Conference. Patty said so many of the things that we know about fertility treatment and said it so lovingly and beautifully that she had people in tears. She normalized all the feelings that we feel about infertility--anger, shame, frustration, and, underneath it all, fear. It was an honor and privilage to speak after her.
While the turn out for participants wasn't what we all would have liked, it made for a very intimate day and there's something very special about that. Thanks to Fran Meadows for pouring her determination and heart into making it happen.
My intention is to share my presentation here with you this week. I'm working on it.
Have I mentioned leading Fertile Yoga with a woman in class with a bejeweled tiara and a bedazzling sash on Saturday? A real princess. I kid you not. Stay tuned. As I wasn't sure you would believe me, I had pictures of the two of taken together. Beautiful story, incredibly beautiful woman, I promise you.
We are lucky enough to have a guest blog this week with a tender, thoughtful look at the waiting rooms in our offices from the other side of the reception desk. What does morning monitoring look like from our side of things? It takes a lot for you all to show up so early, it adds to your day, and it can be exhausting. How we see it. Natesha Lane was so touched the other morning that she wrote for us. Is that not amazing, that she looked out and instead of being bored or tired or robotized by her job, she saw the women out there, each and every one? And took the time to write to you? This may be one of my favorite guest blogs since the conception of PathtoFertility. A look from the other side.
Yep, gonna be a great week.
See you here tomorow.
