Elaine M. Malin, DACM, L.Ac

Dr. Elaine M. Malin, DACM, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and certified herbalist who has worked with Illume Fertility patients for seven years, currently in the Norwalk and Danbury offices. A general practitioner with a broad range of experience, Elaine has specialized training and experience in women’s health issues including fertility and pregnancy, as well as in treating anxiety, stress and its physical manifestations. After 12 years in practice, Elaine completed her doctoral program in 2019 from Pacific College of Health and Science. The highest level of education in her field, the doctoral degree focused on increasing clinical skills, patient centered care, working integratively with Western medicine, and evidence-based practice. In 2008, Elaine completed an intensive 4-year Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California. She is Board Certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM-Dipl.O.M.), and is licensed in both Connecticut and California. Elaine’s experience includes over five years as an acupuncturist with Norwalk Hospital’s Integrative Medicine Program, an externship at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou, China, where Chinese and Western medical disciplines are integrated and performed in hospital clinics. In the past, she served as the Treasurer and a Board member of the Connecticut Society of Acupuncturists. Elaine has a JD and was a practicing attorney for 12 years before embarking on her acupuncture career.
