Affording Fertility Treatment: What You Need to Know

Financing Infertility Treatment

Finding out whether your medical insurance covers fertility treatment may be easier than you realize.

Checking before you start fertility treatment is crucial to ensure that you do not have to pay out of pocket expenses because you have not received preauthorization or you have not undergone all the diagnostic fertility testing that your insurance carrier requires.

Insurance Coverage  for Fertility Treatment

"At Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT), we help you work with your insurance company to determine your level of coverage and your out-of-pocket expenses (when applicable). We also review with you the specific details of your insurance plan for infertility treatment. We encourage you to be your own best advocate by thoroughly understanding your benefits before you begin treatment. Start by reviewing your specific policy requirements for covered and non-covered infertility services and asking questions of your insurer for clarification."
