After a few months of trying to conceive on their own, Jessica contacted her OB/GYN for answers about why there was no pregnancy. Jessica and her husband went for some preliminary diagnostic testing. After seeing an Urologist, her husband’s semen analysis revealed that he had a low count, low motility, and less than perfect morphology. At that point, Jessica’s OB/GYN recommended them to RMACT.
“I was told my lows were very dark. They were. I felt like I was going insane. We were doing the same thing over and over again, and it was heart breaking,” Jessica recalls. “Thank goodness for the staff because dealing with all of this was emotionally taxing.”
Jessica speaks honestly about the donor process: “Choosing to use donor sperm was a long process, but after spending 4 years in fertility treatment cycles, we were ready to try something new.”
“They were fantastic. We butted heads at times, but they were fantastic. They had people to help with everything. Ladies Night In (LNI) was awesome— I made lifelong friends who I still lean on when I have hard days. My patient coordinator was never too busy and always so helpful. Finance was also always so helpful.”
“One day at a time and take It one fertility cycle at a time. It's very overwhelming and beyond heart breaking. Never say never because you don't know what you’re capable of. Listen to your body; no one knows your body better and when it needs a break that's ok. This isn't fun and it's the hardest thing to go through but you’re not alone.”
